Hello all, I've been a lurker for a while but I've finally come to the realization that I'm getting stressed out lately because of these documents. For the past few months I've been trying to gather my wife's immigration documents so I can sponsor her but I'm having trouble finding all of the necessary supporting documents.

My Korean wife previously lived in Queensland, Australia. Yesterday, she was reading a Korean blog which stated that she must submit a Traffic History report from Queensland as part of her supporting documents. I did a quick search and found out that she does require that document. Although it is not difficult to get it, it does stress me to thinking that I am missing another document. I'm very confused. Do I need to submit an Appendix A Checklist? What about other appendices?

Can anyone assist me? I would just like to know what documents I need to gather for submission.

Here's my wife's history:
- 27 years old
- Korean citizen by birth.
- Lived abroad in Australia from early 2010 to late 2011 on a working holiday visa. She lived at 2 different addresses.
- Lived in the Philippines for 4 months at 2 different addresses (I'm pretty sure I only have to include the addresses because she lived there less than 6 months).
- Moved back to Korea and has been living there since 2011.

My history: - 29 years old
- Canadian citizen by birth
- Lived abroad in South Korea since 2011 (does this also mean that I live exclusively outside Canada?)

I would gather all docs from check list first - family relations, marriage certificate, criminal record certificate (translate and notarize them in English)

Since she has lived in Australia for years, she would need to obtain criminal record certificate from Australia too (as far as I know)

you can find more info from thread :Sponsoring my Korean wife for permanent residency

This is link you can download all forms to apply (outland)
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp

PS. I would recommend to read immigration blog/ forum in English. Of course there are good and correct information about immigration, but also some false info too.

If you are still living in South Korea and have been since 2011, you should say you are living exclusively outside Canada. Unless you have kept a residence here and spend months at a time back in Canada, you will be considered to be living outside of Canada by the visa officer processing the file. So you have to include proof you will return to Canada when your wife gets her PR visa.

She will have to get police clearance certificate from Australia. She can apply online and it will be delivered to her address in korea. Check the Australian federal police website for details.

Complete all the forms and supporting documents. Don't forget to check the country specific requirements for korea as well. You will find this form on cic website.
