Hey Guys

Great news!!! My wife got her OWP-S visa approved. It took around 21 working days.

My timelines
App submitted: 18 nov 2013
App reached delhi VO : 19 nov 2013
Medical: upfront ( a day before i submit my application)
approval email: NONE
Passport despatched: 18 dec 2013
passport received: 19th dec 2013 with the beauty sticker.

Her visa ends same as mine.

I currently have only 5 months left on my visa. But when we applied I barely have 6 months and a week left. Not sure about the six month rule, If it need to have 6 months when we apply or by the time they stamp the visa !!!!

P.S
Thanks a lot guys for your support......I really wish and hope every one gets their visas on time.

Congrats buddy
Hope we all get visa

Yes fassu its true ! All officers in delhi & chandigarh are on vacation and they'll come 1st week of jan so fingers crossed till new year and pray to god ! Hope in 2014 our every dream come true ! And best of luck for every one..

hello Everyone,

Just wanted to give an update,
I had applied SOWP earlier on oct 02 and had received rejection on Nov 11 based on that my spouse doesnt meet section 186 of the regulation and that we had not submitted the additional documents they had asked for ( relationship questionnaire), it waqs an online application, however we had submitted the documents.
we reapplied paper application this time on Nov 27 and received the passport back on dec 18 with the visa...

My job category falls under NOC A and have been in canada since 5 years... and visa is valid until oct 2015

the documents submitted included the forms, my pay stub, copy of savings account, job letter station NOC A clearly, lease aggrement, wedding pictures, copy of work permit and cover letter clearly stating job NOC A category..

All documents were the same as I had submitted in online application..

and this is a myth that you do not receive rejection after medical, my spouse received rejection after the medical request..

Also to answer that if the embassy is on vacation, not true..... because they only have 3 vacation days 25, 26 and jan 1 other than these days office is open, however some staff might be on vacation but embassy is definitely open.

good luck everyone!

Sorry to hear about your case AKG.... its unfortunate that you have received rejection in spite of submitting all the documents.... I can only ASSUME one thing, there MIGHT be a possibility that you COULD have uploaded a different document under that category resulting in the rejection....

Anyways... good to know..

Hello Vizag,
Congrats.
I'm in the process of applying for S-OWP, hopefully by end of January (paper based, ND visa office).
Would be helpful if you can let me know whether the documents (education certificates, marriage certificates, etc) need to be notarized or normal photo copy is good enough.

Hello Viky

I just submitted everything without notarizing and it worked.
But I heard some people make them notarized. So its upto you.

Good luck with your application
