ND Work Permit Processing Time since February 2012?

Are they determined to do TWP? It seems they are not interested in getting people on TWP.

I am also in the same doubt. FSW applications take 10 months time period to finalize, where as TWP applications take only 3 months max. Don't know why they are not processing TWPs?

Hello all

I have just joined this forum after a frustrating 3 month long wait for the work permit approval. I have a positive LMO received around end of June 2013.

Application Date - 5th July 2013

I have applied for the work permit through online and I have received "Submission Confirmation" on the same day, apart from that there is no further communication from CIC. Since I have already worked in Canada through valid Work Permit, I am positive that I will get my work permit approved.

However, I am not sure how long this will take as it is now beyond the 3 months processing time as mentioned by CIC.

Forum seniors - Any suggestions / clues / update / advice?

No news yet. Don't know what is wrong with cic. How they r working. Hope we all get medicals soon.

Hello all

We all are going through the same phase. I also applied on 26th July, but haven't heard anything. My case is same like you, as I had already worked in Canada on a valid work permit. But 1% doubt always remain in my mind about approval.

The only thing which we can do is to wait. Hopefully this week we can get to know something.

Meanwhile, please update the spreadsheet with your details. It will be helpful for everyone who are also waiting to get Visa. Below is the link:

No updates as of now. This week too passed away without anything. Lets hope for the coming week now. Give me a call once you are back.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada offices and Canadian Consulates world-wide are currently reporting significant delays in processing of all Canadian Immigration applications currently pending at offices within Canada or at Consulates abroad.

Across the board, the backlog is growing five per cent per week, and in the bigger centers, it's 10 to 20 per cent per week, At more than half of the 51 foreign visa application centres, the processing times are exceeding the immigration department's 45 to 50 working days target.
The Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) began a series of strikes on June 6, 2013 to September 27, 2013 PAFSO staff work in Canadian embassies and consulates around the world. The strike action began in six particularly busy locations; Shanghai, Beijing, Delhi, Chandigarh, Manila and Mexico City.

Due to since the strike action at all 15 Major Canada High Commission's offices in all over and its had a major impact on the application processing due to backlog.
