ND Work Permit Processing Time since February 2012?

Friends, I and some of my friends who applied for TWP+LMO and Spouse OWP in April have got Medical requests last week through email. It shows that ND is working(bit slowly) and not processing applications randomly.

VFS website didn't show any updates (since our passport is not dispatched). Check your inbox and spam folder for emails from 'Client-update-mise-a-jour@cic.gc.ca'. This is auto-email box. So do not try emailing to it.

Try raising a Case specific request. You will get some response on your application status.

Any details on the Medical Examination Fees structure. How is it charged in other places.

I was charged 3,500/- Rupees.
1. Computerised Bill for Rupees 1,300/-, for the Medical Examination (Urine Test, Blood Test, X ray). The bill states Canadian Medical Examination Package
2. Hand Written Bill with Seal for Rupees 2,200/- claiming it for Consultation, Admin, Documentation work.

Does visa office insist on going for consultation? if yes, Why two seperate Bills?. I requested them to give a single bill but they refused to give so.

Also, the medical tests is conducted two days where Day-1 all the tests were taken and on Day-2, doctor consultation is provided.

Our frds have applied from some agency where they didn't get LMO so....just to know ..it will be helpful to many...

It has been exactly 4 months completed since i applied. The guys who applied for student permit they got their visa in 2 weeks time but us we have been waiting... waiting... waiting...... don't know when we get our MR :'(

shanmuga is right those applied for student visa they got their visa within 2 weeks, and our application in waiting waiting and waiting !!!!

I am a P.hD student in Canada. I wanted to apply OWP for my wife as she got rejected for visitor visa. Could you tell me the process for OWP visa for spouse.
I mean the required documents, financial assets (how much value?), ties to home country, travel history etc...

canadian high commission issue student,visitor,business, pr and other visas are in normal time line but only delay proecessing in work permit visa. I don't know whay they taking too much time for processing in work permit visa

don't worry, lot of applicants rejected for visitor visa, got approved for OWP.

for OWP-S visa you need fill IMM1295E (Work permit application made outside Canada), IMM5645E forms

Supporting Documents:

1. Covering letter to CHC

2. Your Phd offer letter from the university

3. your last 4-months bank statements

4. Your last 4-months payslips

5. Marriage certificate

6. Proof funds around $10,000CAD

7. Wedding card, Wedding pics, joint bank accounts, previous e-mail communications ( gives strong support to the visa)

8. Your spouse job offer letter, Payslips

9. strong tie-ups with home country.

Looking at other posts I see that CHC is still processing student applications on priority. Hope that once July SP applications are done, we shall see some better movement in WP applications. Still a long way to go!
