ND Work Permit Processing Time since February 2012?

Hi all,

I have received OWP approval mail y'day. Passport is awaited.
I applied for entire family under respective category suitable for each.

Like,
OWP- for Myself,
TRV- for Spouse & Son,
Study- for Daughter

Out of which y'day I received approval mail for OWP & Study.
Yet TRV approval is awaited.

Any such case happened with anybody whoes family member's approval came with some delay even though all are applied together in single envelop.

All the passports will come at the same time with their Visas stamped. Since, there is a permit required for Study and Work, the VO sends the approval email for that. For TRV, you will not get the email. It will be stamped straight way to your spouse and your Son's passport.

Hi everyone,
Can someone please advice if it is worth to go directly to the Delhi embassy and talk to an officer regarding the status of my application. Its been 4 months and I haven't even received medical request yet. Is it worth travelling all the way to Delhi embassy ?or sending fax is better ?

hiii narmadazan i have same status like u and having also 4 months but u can,t meet with a officer in new delhi bcz its all waste ur time or money u can send them by mail or fax but 2 meet with them directly its all waste...

Thank you creating this page wherein we could check all applicants in a glance.

All i could get from the stats is;

1) Out of 34 applicants 16 are OWP-S i.e. approx 50%... 8 are ICT (Inter company transfer) i.e. approx 25%... 8 are CWP and TWP (with and without LMO)...approx 25%

2) Total 5 applicants have got their visas approved. Out of these applicants 3 are ICT & Other 2 are feb applicants.

3) Out of 29, we have 1 feb applicant, 9 march applicants applied, 12 april applicants, 4 may & 3 June applicants.

4) Only 2 medical request 1 in may and 1 in June.

Analysis:

OWP S are currently getting lowest priority in terms of applications, which can be figured out from the fact that 16 applicants are still left for processing, while ICT are getting highest priority.

Overall only 15% applications have been processed.

Out of 30 pending applications, 1 applicant will complete 5 months post application submission, 9 applicants 4 months, 13 applicants 3 months, 4 applicants 2 months

Considering this 3-6 months should be taken into consideration post application submission(2-5 months for medicals).




Note: This analysis is only based on the users filling up the excel. We should understand that there would be many applicants who must have got their visas approved in given time period. Also some of the users might not be comfortable putting up their data in forum. And many users might not be aware of this community. Based on which overall analysis should be considered.

Hi Chintan,
You get approval email only for work permit and study permit.

For TRV, it gets stamped on your passport. You dont receive any separate email for TRV.
It happened to one another person too..

One of the other sad realities about the lengthy turn around is that the LMO will probably expire not allowing a second chance to reapply with deficiencies addressed. Employers must hate this process, too. Having proved that you can't hire locally and still it takes a year to get an employee through the approved process. How can you run a business that way?

Hi Pippin, my LMO expires by July end. My re-application to ND was received on May 2, 2013. Haven't heard anything from them yet. VFS tracking says "under processing." What happens if I do not hear from them even until my LMO expires?

You can enter ONE day before expiry too.

But to avoid any questions in future, make sure that you reach on time. These days the rules are being updated especially for Temporary residents and to avoid any hassle, land here.

You were fortunate to have enough time to apply a second time on the same LMO. If this application is not successful what could you do a third time to improve things that you didn't include already? If the LMO expires, the employer must go through the process of obtaining an LMO again. I hope you get your visa this time !
