I was born in Canada. Maple leaf already on my foot lol. It is our friend who applied. We are actually still waiting for decision on HIS application (long story). Needless to say, he takes the prize for the longest processing time here.

@gogagig: thanks bro, yup i got mail of approval on saturday. I queried my status to CHC guys on 10th Jan & got reply on
6th Feb, they have delay in processing even emails, got reply after 26 days. you can try sending a mail directly to
CHC asking about your application status, that will give you a little clarity on status of your application.
Also if 2 months are elapsed u can send a case specific query to CHC via their site by filling up a form.

@Shyamala: Bro I am not sure on what basis are CHC evaluating applications, but it seems december applications are
underway now.

@Arora5983: Thanks buddy, even mine was LMO Exempt but not sure their criteria of application processing.

@nikoli: Thanks, it was CWP/LMO Exempt.

@gautam387: you can try checking with CHC directly too by sending them an email/or sending a case specific query on
status of your application, needless to say they will reply by their own comfort.

Hi everyone,

I've been following this forum for a while now, but I just registered for the first time. My application for a CWP along with a Visitor Visa for my wife was received by the high commission on 14 Jan 2013 (applied through VFS in ND). There's been no news since and I can't tell you how anxious we both are.

We thought the timeliness on the site were real (1 month at the time). So we both quit our jobs. Luckily, my future employer liked the idea of me freelancing for them while waiting, otherwise this would have been disastrous. Still anxious though. Hoping for the best!
