Guyz,

I am not a regular visitor in the forum.. but the forum helped me a lot to analyse the situation.. My wife has applied for a closed work permit on Nov 22nd, to VFS bangalore.. She got request for medicals and completed her medicals on Jan 25th... Yesterday we received mail that her work permit has been approved...

At vfs they told that it takes about 20 working days for response but I read this forum and notice that most of guys applied on dec 2012 are still waiting. So what could be reason for this?

takes some people 2 months. some people 3 months. even 4 months for some people.things are slow and ridiculous right now.

Good News
Today we got a mail from CHC for Medical Request and we completed our medical test.

congrats. So they've at least started processing december 24 applicants, even though they have not completed several from before. Keep us updates about when get a final decision.

In my case, we paid Rs 3500/person. Fortunately someone cancel their appointment and we got the slot.
Usually you will get the appointment after 4-5 days and it depends from hospital to hospital.

Have you guys enquired about when did your medical reports reached CHC? That should give a better idea as to how much time they'll take to process. Mine reached CHC 1 week after taking the medical exam i.e. on 7th Feb (online).
