Does having a UCI help in anyways??? And I have completed my medicals.

I don't think it helps with processing time. I have a UCI. I am exempt from Medicals. My job is exempt from LMO.
I have worked in Canada before.

But I am now in the 7th week of waiting, with no news from the consulate.

Hi Guys,

This thread has been of great help to me as I was thinking that the delay in visa processing was only in my case but after reading all the posts here i think that there is a systemic delay from ND consulate. Like Jaswinder said they may be pre-occupied with clearing student visas or some thing else like that. The reason why I say this is my prospective company started the visa processing of 4 people (inlc me) and due to some delay in LMO i was the last to apply for the visa. All the 3 got the Medical request in 2 weeks of applying and the stamped visa in another 2 weeks after the medical submission and have landed in canada. They did their initial application in start of Oct and by mid Nov it was done.

My application date is 19 - Nov. Got Medical request on 11 - Dec. Got medicals done & sent the passport back to the consulate on 19th Dec. Awaiting since then.
