applied for work visa:29/12/11
MR:09/01/12
med done:20/01/12
medical furtherance instruction:26/03/12(chest x-ray)
medical furtherance done:05/04/12
visa issued:24/04/12

Thanks for your response, Anukapur9! So by my calculations, if you had not required medical furtherance, the process would have taken 40 days. I discounted the New Year's Day stat and took 19 days from when Meds done to visa being issued.
It is very helpful to have these dates and I hope others will post their timelines for ND. Thanks!

hello, i am sharing my timeline below.
work visa application: 4 June, 2012
Passport sent back for Medical: 8 June, 2012
Medical completed & application passport sent back: 11 June, 2012
Now waiting for visa!!!
Could you any one of you tell me about current processing time in ND for work visa application.

Hi gaurav. Our friend's timeline - Medicals done in May - Full application submitted 27 June. While he was in VFS office he heard that things are moving "too quickly" this month. I think documents are being checked before being forwarded to ND, so perhaps this is speeding up the end result. Thanks for bringing up this thread. Perhaps others with recent experience will let us know their timelines. Good Luck.

I have not submitted my Passports after Medicals through VFS.
I have couriered them to the Visa Office at ND and received confirmation of receipt.

Received Work Permit for myself and Spouse today.
The VO is doing a nice job. This is well within the average processing time.
