ND Work Permit Processing Time since February 2012?

Hey Saini84..

Did you get your passport.. was it a Medical request or visa approved?

Yours was faster than many. Is your spouse on work permit or study permit. I have heard that in cases where spouse has study permit, visa may take longer.

I believe saini applied to chandigarh consulate. things lately may actually be faster there than new delhi.

Good news Guys.

Myself and my wife got a letter from CIC stating our work permit is approved.
Surprisingly there was no medicals requested for me this time.

The VFS status still states 'it is under process', hope to see it change by today.

Do let us know when your status changes from 'in processing' to something else. (email address for my application is of the Canadian representative's, so status change stuff will tell me first whether my visa's finished processing.)

i had applied for spouse open work permit on Nov 26 2012.... stil no reply from dem yet... i applied from New Delhi... mailed Canadian Embassy many times but no reply....
whats de reason for such long delay.... its very frustrating... my husbamd works in canada and we recently got married... want to be with my husband as soon as possible...

no going to delhi will not help. you will not be allowed to see anyone in the consulate. and vfs will not know. there are still some people waiting since september. there is nothing you can do, except wait. sooner or later you will hear something.

I am on WP here and this is for my wife in India........
I do not know yet what is there in the passport....approval or rejection.......

Yeah...my wife applied in Chandigarh consulate ........but right now, I do not know whether she got visa or not. Normally, people receive approval letter via email .....She has received nothing yet....and this is a matter of concern.

I will update you on Monday when she receives her passport.

hi sapna had u applied without offer letter or with job offer letter?can u help us regarding the form completion and document u attached with application?and in support letter what reason u mentioned to go canada?actually i have study permit and my husband wants to join me with sowp can u help us regarding form?

Processed Passport received at VFS Canada VAC Delhi on 08/02/2013.
No idea what its gonna be ? I'll collect it on monday. Anyone else heard from embassy without medical or approval letter. I am really worried.

Ha ...this is the same case as with my spouse....She is also worried and will wait till monday when she collects her passport

OPW-S means Open work permit based on spouse study or work permit
