Folks.........here is an update on the status of OWP(s) of my spouse.....
She received the VISA stamped on her passport.....
Events so far :
- Applied on Jan 04, 2013 to Chandigarh VO. Rejected on Feb 04, 2013...reason: No Travel......We did not show the economic ties to India
- Again Applied on Feb 25th, 2013. No Response till 25th May.
- Sent email and fax to the contacts provided by VFS on 25th May. Received the reply on 26th May.
- Received medicals on 27th May
- Completed Medicals on 31st May
- Sent Passport with Medical slip on June 03, 2013.
- Application Approval email on June 11 <Passport Dispatched>
- June 12: Passport received with VISA stamped
I will continue to visit this thread to provide my inputs where ever possible.

Hello and Congratulations for the visa.Well I have put my file of Open work permit from New Delhi visa office as on 16th april 2013.as my wife is having PGWP in canada and she is working in noc category from last one year in toronto. and my file status is under process process.
Can you tell me please how much fund did you show in your file (Total bank statement)?

If your wife is earning there already, then she can show her bank statements and any amount around CAD 7000 is good. Else more than CAD10000.vivmehta said:
If you have back account here in India, you can also show the funds. Combined sum should be >=CAD10000.

I heard from an agent that if cic has to reject they do within few weeks only.
If they taking long in processing that means its a good sign.

But again not 100% accurate because there is an usual delay now due to strike and other factors. So delay is possible in all cases. So hoping for the best. And hoping that usual delay is positive.

2)her employment document (Tax Return,Bank statement-CAD12000,her last three month pay slipEmployment letter from the company confirming her employment that she is working in noc category from last one year)
3)MY bank statement around Rs.850,000
4)My Income tax return (Income of last year-Rs.540,000/-)
5)My Salary slip of last three months (Rs.42,000/- per month salary)
