My passport released by Canadian High Commission few minutes ago

I think you were more positive in my wife's case than I was. All happened in sequence of steps.

After 3 months passed, my wife asked VFS how to proceed further and they gave her fax and email address to correspond with.

- Sent email and fax to Visa office on Friday and received the response on Monday to WAIT.
- Tuesday, she got the text message via vfs that passport has been released. The Representative got the email from the embassy for Medical request.
- My wife collected passport and medical request letter was also there in the mail. Now, she will do her medicals and wait for the passport request from embassy

I will definitely updating the events.

Embassy don't give the passport, they only send the request for medical by email.

We did not ask for the passport. Chandigarh VO sends the passport b'coz doctors ask for passport during medicals.

Hi ,

Doctor never ask for passport , they only ask for any GOVT issued ID proof with photo and sign .
they take only Xerox copy of your passport.
Chd VO always return passport with MR. They know that Punjab People are not trusted Persons.

They ask me for passport, i said its with embassy , so they do not have any objection.

Thanks for the well wishes....it seems that there was a period of lull in the canada embassy during March and April....but now probably things are back to normal....so I am sure everyone will get their applciations processed very soon...all the best to everyone.

My timelines are as follows:

Application Type : Intra Company Type (LMO exempt)
Date of submission: 4th March 2013 from VFS chennai
Application received at Canada high commission, Delhi: 5th March 2013
Medical request received: 16th May 2013
Test Conducted: 17th May 2013
Reports send to embassy: 20th May 2013
Got approval for work permit on 28th May 2013

Now hoping to get my Passport back soon
