Hello all,
I found 2173 noc is regulated in New Brunswick. Does it mean I should apply related license before the nomination?

Thank you!
Yeah and according to what I've read, it is only regulated when you're approving engineering drawings.

Hi NzKhn,

Here is the list of regulated occupations in NB: https://www2.gnb.ca/content/gnb/en/...tent/LabourMobility/CertifiedOccupations.html

Please advice if the website you posted is more updated than the NB website. If so, then I would definitely rethink my NOC.

Thank you!!

Hi @jann719

See this link from NB website: https://www1.gnb.ca/0105/op-pp/opP.aspx?n=2173

Look at the different job titles - they all fall under NOC 2173 - and it states:

Employment Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree, usually in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering or mathematics

    or

Completion of a college program in computer science is usually required.
  • A master's or doctoral degree in a related discipline may be required.
  • Licensing by a provincial or territorial association of professional engineers is required to approve engineering drawings and reports and to practise as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
  • Engineers are eligible for registration following graduation from an accredited educational program, three or four years of supervised work experience in engineering, and passing a professional practice examination.
  • Experience as a computer programmer is usually required.

So you need to be licensed IF you want to practise as a Professional Engineer as well :)

THANK YOU!!

Perhaps, just to be safe, I may change to 2174.

Last question though, is it OK to change my NOC to 2174? I registered in the Info Session as 2173 but I will change my NOC when sending out an NOI. Will this have any repercussions?

Thanks!!!

Yes you can. As long as the job resposibilities match up with the NOC code

Hello, you can use apps that detect any changes in a website then link it to your email. Try “visualping” it will give immediate notification in your email if any change happens in NB website. Just setup it.

Hello,

I received ITA from New Brunswick as well. I submitted EOI 22nd of March. I have not attended info-session, I just tried to send out EOI and they responded with ITA. Currently gathering documents for submission.
So you got nominated without attending a session?????

Thanks,

I remember reading this!!!
That person was very lucky, but I have yet to come across another person who that happend to.

I just sent an email with resume to attend the Dubai session :( I’m pretty sure I won’t get a reply.
Is there any hope they will hold another session in the UAE before 2019

Don't give up! There is still time to receive an invitation for the job fair. Give it until maybe 16/17 September. I remember I only got my confirmation email only 4 days before the event

The job title they are asking for unfortunately is not ours.. I’m not hopeful.
The express entry session would have been perfect.
When did you attend the session?
