Hi,

My score is 74/100. NOC is 2171. My job role's name is Systems Analyst. I work on a proprietary software with back end in DB2/mainframe. But I have used SQL extensively to generate reports and for analysis. Major responsibility of my job is also designing the user interface aspects of our software and also our website.

My job title isn't any of those listed on the http://www.welcomenb.ca/content/wel-bien/en/immigrating_and_settling/how_to_immigrate/new_brunswick_provincialnomineeprogram/New_Brunswick_express_entry/EligibilityRequirements.html for Open Category : Software Developer / Quality Assurance Engineer (Or QA engineer) / Mobile Developer / UI/UX Developer

I have skills that are listed under Software Developer, Quality Assurance Engineer, UI/UX Developer.

So are they only considering people with experience in those specific job titles with those specific skills for each of them?

Can someone clarify?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Krishere,

As far as i have seen in some of the previous posts, u should have those specific skills to apply under the open category.
Well, no fines for applying anyways... ;)

I highly doubt that that will be the case. The job names are different in different companies, it all boils down to what kind of work you do. I could be doing work similar to that of a software developer, but be called as a systems analyst in my company.

Also they have mentioned '(any of the following)' below the job name and the skill set. I have 2 of the skills under the UI/UX Developer and one of them under Software Developer and QA Engineer.

It would be insane to consider only those people who have the same exact job title in their job experience, they should rather go by what kind of skills they got.

i would like to believe that too... because even my initial experience has been on DB2/Mainframes until i shifted to Java a few years ago.
Anyways good luck with ur application..

I've got my ITA :)

I have a question to those who are in, how did you managed to get a "money order", or check?
We do not use such tools here in Ukraine...
any suggestions?
