I attended the Information session today in New York, it was interesting; moving on to the next stage

I did too. You're right, it was enlightening.

Guys who attended New York session, can you brief us on what have been discussed and highlighted in the session? Thanks in advance.

Hello guys,

What are the chances of getting ITA from NBPNP for software engineers (2171 or 2173 noc) who have NOT attended NBPNP information sessions? My score is 75/100. Please help

I really cannot say but I want to suspect that they give priority to the information session attendees.

Hi all,

is there a Whatsapp group created where we can add ourselves?

If not, four of us have created a group and we would like to extend this group by adding all members of this forum who are all interested.

Please add the below numbers to the existing group:
+1-425-435-3930
+1-518-915-9198
+1-801-635-7586
+1-804-503-2550

If there is no group available, then you can send your request to any of the above numbers and we will add your numbers to our group so that we can grow it. Our group's name is "Canada Exp Entry Group".

Please let us know your recommendations.

Thanks,

Hari

Absolutely not...

Seminar is just a ticket to express interest for the guys who do not have any connections with NB.

The NB immigration department is in constant touch with employers and at times, employers request them to bring some candidates so that they can hire them. So - they brought the 3rd ticket - open category.

So that means open category can express interest even if they do not have any connection to NB and have not attended any seminar. You guys in my eyes are priority (first priority is - having a job or connection in NB).

If you are in open category NOC and still have not received ita, means there might be many people in the same NOC who have got better score than you. I recommend to keep trying. BTW, I don't think 2173 is open category anymore....

Most of the things shared in presentation are discussed here already. Yes, we got the chance to talk to actual visa officers and director.

We could ask many questions and they were patiently answering them.

Since the seminar was like an hour long - we cannot share everything here, but just to brief - there was one seminar for Canada Express Entry in general. How it works and how it has been changed and why it was required. Then came the presenter from NB - he talked about how the lifestyle in NB is what kind of people would like to live in NB etc. Then he mentioned about EOI, how to do it and who should do it. How they respond and what the process is.

The question and answer round was more interesting where questions came and they answered all the questions they could. Later on, they stayed for about half n hour to answer individual questions.

If you have a specific question, we can discuss here and take everyone's opinion.

Thank you richie, the main questions which I hope were answered in the session are:

- How long the process takes to respond with ITA from the date of EOI?
- Should we send one EOI every month?
- After how many weeks we should consider that they are not interested in omy EOI?

Thanks

hi Ritchie,

what makes u think that 2173 is not an open category anymore? did they say that?
i have applied under open category with noc 2174 and 79/100 score on April 3rd. I haven't received an ITA still.. have they hinted on any time period within which an ITA should get sent?

Has there been anybody who applied within those dates (Early April) and received an ITA in the open category?

In fact, I was the one who asked this question. The answer was very clear - it varies.

Then I further inquired that there might be a timeline or something to get an idea - whether we should wait or move on...

They said, we try to work on it quickly but sometimes there are many EOIs to review. However, if you do not receive the invitation within 2 months - chances are that you may not receive later either.

What I understand by that is - they would have definitely seen and reviewed ur application in two months and if they are not interested now, they would not be interested later either. Unless something drastically changes in their labor market or on your profile.

I would say max 2 EOI in 6 months (this is what I think) - cause if you start sending every month, they might spam you. That's the last thing you want. So be careful in sending too many EOIs.

We can try to gather info from right here - the members who got EOI - can you please tell us how many days it took? If you can please share whether you were seminar attendees or open category.

Thanks!

Can you please read the requirements available on their website? That form is available in the first post of this forum too. EOI eligibility requirements.

In open category, this is written

Only the following NOC codes are eligible under Open Category: 2171; 2172; 2174; 2175; 2281.
