Hi guys,

During the info session here in UAE, Mr. Ashraf and George stated that they are looking for applicants in IT related jobs as they need more than 200 personnel in IT. I have done further research and visited several web sites related to NB's economy. What I have gathered is that they are planning to make NB as prime centre for IT. If you look at the nominations received most of them are from IT field, although there are others as well. For IT main preference and for the rest, they are following as per AOR.

That's true. I have even received an email from NB about IT job vacancies. I can't wait to go and explore my options over there.

thats a lie lilyc go and read the details of the atlantic program,the purpose of the program is to bring in immigrants from overseas in to atlantic canada,not to benefit people already on the ground,the major reason employers in canada dont offer jobs to people outside canada is because of the LMIA which has been removed dont deceive people and analyse things like an illiterate

I've read it, thanks for your concern. Being sceptical is not illegal, the last time I've checked. Let's see how many of us will get an offer remotely. I agree with Paulosky on this one less the harsh words, lol! It will not make sense to have this program, if they only intend to entice those who are already in Canada. I think the main purpose of this is to get skilled workers from abroad to land in Canada with a job offer without the tedious process of having an LMIA which we all know is the main reason why local companies opt not to accommodate applicants who are not yet in Canada. Let's hope for the best!

i dont think so that its for the people who already applied, if you have job offer, inland and out land, i think you are eligible.

Think this info session is dual purpose, if you happen to get a job directly from the employer on April then good for you, but if not, then atleast you can use this info session as additional points within 2 years should you apply for NBPNP. I did see that NB is focusing on IT. I am just hoping there is a room for accountants like me somewhere out there. hahaha!

In fairness, guys and gals, this whole Atlantic program is only beneficial to people who are already in Canada (highly unlikely to get a job offer remotely). NB residents already fit into Group1(the only one considered atm) and now it'll be even easier for them... Greattttt... Time to save an extra 15k, so I can enroll myself into college, if that's the only thing that can get me any chance to move to NB.

Plus, this is not the only program that will give you a nomination if you have a job offer.

when did cic remove the LMIA requirement except in rare cases like NAFTA?,who told u this is a nomination program go and read about this program u have a lot to learn about it

I believe you can send them an email explaining that your resident visa is renewed, scan and attach a copy. in the email mention your pnp number
