Dear Members,

I need your guidance regarding my options for getting immigration in Canada. My details are as below:

Designation: ERP Functional Consultant (Canadian NOC ‘2171 Information systems analysts and consultants’)
Experience in above field: 3.5 years
Total Experience: 4 years and 9 months
IELTS Score: 7 Bands (Listening 8, Reading 6, Writing and Speaking 6.5)
Age: 28
Marital Status: Single (Never Married)

Education: Masters of Arts (Economics) + Bachelors in Commerce (B.COM) (Total 16 years in Commerce and Economics) +
ACCA Finalist (13 out of 14 papers cleared) +
2 Implementation Specialists certifications of Oracle

Now a friend of mine said that as my qualification (ACCA Final and Bachelors in Commerce and Finance) falls under the NOC of 1111 'Financial auditors and accountants', so my application will fall in that category. But as I am currently working as ERP consultant which falls under NOC 2171, have 3.5 years' experience, so want to apply for that as skilled worker or under express entry. So can anyone please suggest me the below things:

1. Can I apply under NOC '2171 Information systems analysts and consultants' or not?
2. What are my chances to be selected under express entry or skilled worker immigartion?
3. Would any state sponsor me? If yes. then, which should be kept as option?

Waiting for your kind response!

Regards,
Janesh

2. What are my chances to be selected under express entry or skilled worker immigartion? Skilled Worker is a sub-stream of Express Entry. You are applying to Express Entry and will be processed under Skilled Worker stream
3. Would any state sponsor me? If yes. then, which should be kept as option? Each province not state, has their requirements for their Provincial nomination programmes. Check on the website of each province to know their particular requirements and see if you can provide them

Waiting for your kind response!

Dear Pipis Husband,
Thank you so much for your kind and prompt response. :)

I still have some confusion. :( Because today I met a consultant. He said that you are not eligible for Canadian Immigration and gave me reference to the Employment Requirements's reference for NOC 2171.

"Employment requirements

A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering, business administration or a related discipline
or
Completion of a college program in computer science is usually required.
Experience as a computer programmer is usually required.
Certification or training provided by software vendors may be required by some employers."

So need reconfirmation from your side that my application will be processed based primarily on my Work Experience, not my education?!! Sorry for being skeptical/confused, but please try to understand my condition at the moment.

Regards,
Janesh

OP has not been on the forum in 5 years. Getting a job will be dependant on what your potential employer is looking for (work experience, education, skills etc). Employers also focus on Canadian experience.
