Hi,
I am a BN nurse from Nepal. My ECA report states just two year post secondary credential since I am working as RN in my country.
I am considering to apply for NNAS but I dont think, I would get a favourable evaluation.
By the way what about your degree and work experience?

I am Male RN RM from India and will be applying for NNA assessment next month. Want to share my case so can get any useful information before I apply so that i can avoid any mistakes:

Master of Science in Nursing (2 yrs Course)
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (4 yrs Course)

Primarily worked in Educational side in Nursing College.

Planning to apply for assessment to College of Nurses Ontario.

My Wife also RN RM Her Qualifications are as follows:

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Degree (2 yrs)
GNM (3.5 yrs) Diploma Program

She has experience as a Staff Nurse and also as an Nurse Educator.

Does anyone have similar case like my wife's or mine then do share your evaluation information.
Any helpful information welcomed.

Yay! Finally managed to find this forum. I need some light and good thing you guys started this forum. I just recently started my app with NNAS. Securing all the necessary forms and documents take a lot of my time. I'm hoping i could settle everything before I leave for Canada.
I took my BSN in the Philippines, have a US RN license but never worked in US, currently working in SG.
Does anyone have any idea whether I need to have my license in US verified even if I did not practice nursing there?i tookmy NCLEXback in 2007, I'm not sure whether they would still ask me to retake the test.
Goodluck everyone on your applications! Please share your timelines for everyone to have an idea how this works.

So I received my NNAS report. It says 'Somewhat Comparable' (RN from Jamaica). Didn't expect to get 'Comparable" seeing I'm not from the U.S. Now to apply to the province and see what they require for the registration process.

Hey guys,

I have few queries...any help would be greatly appreciated..

Firstly, When is the right time to start NNAS process. Is it advisable to start after landing or should we start early?
Secondly, Is there any temperorary registration that allows us to practice for sometime till we get our licence?
Thirdly, Does all foreign Nurses who land up in Canada do survival jobs?
Lastly, Is the NNAS document collecting process similar like WES process. Does it mean that i have to go my colleges again asking for documents?

Thanks. :)

NNAS take 2 months after receiving all documents to complete your assessment, so depending on how long you take to acquire all the documents, it can take a while. So I would start ASAP. I applied to them in Feb and they got all the documents by March; got my report the 1st of May.
Oh, bear in mind that they take 2 weeks to acknowledge that each document has reached and meets their requirements so.... that takes more time.

You can only get temporary registration after the NNAS report has been issued and you apply to the particular province and they review your application and grant you the temp. license once you meet their requirements.
Not sure on the third point... Maybe if one sorts out their licensing before leaving to Canada maybe by then they can get a nursing job.

You have to get documents from your nursing school, nursing registration body, employer and identity documents. Depending on where you're from Academic IELTS is also required.

Does anybody have an idea that how much time the provincial body take for evaluating application and issuing temporary license? I am planning to apply for both LPN and RN in Alberta.

Hi i am new to this forum. I am from india and applied under FSW 2014 in NOC 3011 Category in December. Got the file no.in march. I have some doubt regarding the NNAS registration:
:- Can i start the registration work from india
:- Is there any validity of the registration.
:- Is it better to start the NNAS work now or later
