In this situation I wouldn't bother submitting your paperwork to NNAS. It's a waste of money. You will have to start at the beginning and obtain a nursing degree from a Canadian university. Graduating that long ago, and never working as a nurse, you won't be considered by any licensing body.Hi all, has anyone here applied or know someone who applied for NNAS without work experience as a nurse who graduated like 9-10yrs ago? Any answer will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, is still worth to apply? Any advise will be much appreciated
Sure, if you take and pass the course to be a nurses aide. Likely though you'll get a job as a PSW (Personal Service Worker). PSW is a 20 week course usually.Hello everyone. Is it possible that whilst waiting to get assessment from NNAS, if you get to canada as a PR, can you get a job meanwhile? Like working as a nurses aide or something.
Was just hoping they could send be to a bridging program instead of redoing the whole programIn this situation I wouldn't bother submitting your paperwork to NNAS. It's a waste of money. Not if you've never worked as a registered nurse. Was just hoping they could send be to a bridging program instead of redoing the whole program
Yes, start now!Hi. I'm new to the forum, excuse me if I'm going over old ground. I have tried to find answers within the thread.
I'm a UK trained mental health nurse with 12 months experience and looking to working in British Columbia. Should I start my NNAS application now? I'm aware it's a slow process so imagine I'll have the 2 years by the time it's completed. Or do they judge your experience from the date of actual application?
Many thanks.
Will do, thanks!Yes, start now!
