Hi

I am filling out the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class forms for my spouse who lives outside of Canada. In one of the forms it asks, do you have a national identity document? What is that? What would this document be for a resident of India?

Thank you!
Plz send notary attested copies of passport, addhar card, pan card, driving licence, voter card, 10th grade mark sheet as well as all other mark sheet whatever you have. Don't miss any of above docs if you have them cuz apart from mark sheet rest docs are National identity docs as well as above docs are useful if your birth is late registered cuz later on they gonna ask for origional one. But if you submit notary attested upfront you can save lots of time and there won't be an chance to get the whole file back if they return it cuz of missing docs. I did same thing and they didn't ask for additional docs. So rest is upto you. Those are only max 10 papers which you need to get attested and send with application. Beleive me there isn't not any harm if you do send. Good luck

When I applied for my Permanent Residency, I did not mention about Aadhar for National Identity Document(left it unchecked). For Indians, the National Identity document is "Passport". Aadhar is an identity document and even one of my colleague who is a Singapore citizen also has his own Aadhar Card when he worked in India for 5 years. So Aadhar cannot be used as a National Identity. Hope it is clear

did someone find an answer for this? Do we use AADHAR card as national identity document? someone please let me know! thank you!
Hi did you put Aadhar as National Identity document (NID)? Also people suggested here Put Passport , why CIC will ask National identity , In all CIC forms already their is section for Passport , and just after that they are asking NID, it does not make sense to enter passport details again in this section

@PMM @scylla : can you please suggest , what i can write in this Q. i am from India and applying for super Visa for my parents .please suggest
Thanks
