I am working in canada,My spouse is back in india.He is dependent visa.We are applying open work permit for him.In the IMM 1295 form work permit ouside canada there is a column for national identity.So i need to know what we can add in there.

I think you should ahead with the passport tbh.

I probably will use aadhar as an identity incase I don’t have a birth certificate.

If your country does not have a national identity document, you leave it blank. Many countries do not have this, it is only for those that do.

My country issues one but I don't have it .I'm living aboard and only I use my passport and current country residency. Is it obligatory to provid on or I can choose No ?
