Name on new Passport is different from the application

Hello,

When I applied to my parents for the family sponsorship I used their current passports at the time. Their passports expired and we issued new ones and now I noticed that the first name is different on the new passport.

I received the request to send my parents passports for the visa issue and I am wondering if it will be a problem to send the new passports with the different name? should I provide a letter to explain why the name is different on the new passport?
