Name mismatch in Passport

Hello All,

I am CEC candidate and about to apply for PR application. I have a question, my mother's name in my passport is misspelled by a letter 'H'. I know i will need to provide the parent details while filling the PR application.

What should i do now? Do i need to reapply for my passport to get the spelling mistake corrected or an affidavit from mother or me will help?
