Name Difference in Passport

Hello,

My spouses's passport has his name as XYZ Singh Chahal whereas all other documents including educational and the marriage certificate has only XYZ singh.

Can my visa be rejected on this as the name differs or would you recommend to update the passport before applying for the visa.

It isn't necessary for your spouse to update his passport to match his name across all documents.
In such cases, most applicants submit a 'One and the same person' affidavit. You can check this link: https://www.edrafter.in/one-and-the-same-person/
