Hi all,
My husband and I got married in 2015 and got our marriage registered. That time the people at the DM office advised us to get my surname changed with the support of an affidavit, which we did. So in my marriage certificate, my name is Priya Gupta. Every other document, such as passport, bank details, etc have my original name Priya Arora. I gave my IELTS also on my Arora surname since the passport mentions Arora.
My query is now with WES, should I use my old name or new name. And in general, should I let the names be as they are in and only provide an LOE at the time of application?
I know it may sound too confusing, but if you could possibly help me out. I got 8878 in first go in IELTS, and I am concerned that this name change issue will lead to the rejection of my application. Please suggest. I have also tried to understand the process of getting my name changed in the passport - this would take close to 2-3 months, which would further delay my WES and subsequent processes.
Thank you so much for your time.
Regards
