Hi,
Before i got the immigration visa on my passport (from my home country) i sent immigration an emil saying that there is a spelling mistake in my name in my passport that i woud like to get fixed so that i have the spelling correct on the paassport in which the visa will be issued.
They were ok with it and i got the spelling fixed , got a new passport with the correct spelling then they stamped my visa in it.
Next month i will apply for citizenship, there is a question o the form that asks if you ever had a legal name change.
Is getting the spelling in my name fixed considered a legal name change?
