NAME CHANGE AFFIDAVIT - DOCUMENT

My wife and i got married in May 2015. Immediately after our marriage we got her name in her passport updated.

however her Bachelor's Degree has her older name.

my question is would i have to get a name change affidavit for my wife for my CIC application?

Have you formally changed her name? If not, you don't need a name change affidavit. What you need is a notarized affidavit declaring that your wife has multiple variants of their name in their documents.

i didnt understand what you meant by 'formally changed her name'.

Could you kindly explain this part.

I'm presuming that involved a change in their last name while continuing to use the same first name. Did you formally/officially/legally change their name in all other documents? If yes, you must have some legal document for that change and you can submit the same.

when i meant name change, i meant my wife's LAST NAME change.

So after marriage, we officially changed her LAST name in her Passport and all other relevant official documents.
Her OLDER LAST NAME is only prevailing in her Degree Certificate and is NOT used anywhere else.

There is no separate legal document for her LAST NAME change. But her LAST NAME changed in her passport, PAN card, current resident card and driving license. (For all her LAST NAME changes in the mentioned documents, only her passport copies were given as proof).

As far as IRCC is concerned, provide a notarized affidavit explaining that your wife has multiple variants of their name across various documents. That should suffice.

when it says First Name(s) it is asking for ‘first and middle name’. I forgot to put in my middle name in my whole profile (EE profile before ITA), however, and it's a locked field now; I can't edit pre-ITA (information provided while creating profile ) form now, in POST ITA form i have update my first name as 'First name middle name' using Modify family information, I can see its updated first name correctly in Post ITA form, But it did not updated in Pre-ITA form .
will it create any problem? how do i deal with this situation? Is it OK to provide one and same person affidavit and explain it in LOE
Also can you please share sample LOE

I want to know that i want to advertise my name in newspaper so how i can get affidavit for it they need affidavit regarding name change.
(Note:- I don’t have any document with my new name)
