Hey all
For applications processed in pretoria, where do medicals get sent? We saw a dr in nairobi 6mths ago n he apparently sent then to the wrong place?? Do all medicals get sent to an office in nairobi, then to the appropriate processing centre? We are now trying to track down the lost medical, wondering if we should just redo them altogether. Thoughts??

I had mine done in Cape town and then they were sent to Nairobi, apparently thats whre all the medicals for southern Africa are sorted or whatever they do to them, and then they are sent to Pretoria from there... I could be wrong though!! The question of how to track them down, I have no idea....

There is no Regional Medical Office in Africa. The DMP would be sending his/her results to either Paris or London, most likely Paris.

What? The medical office used to be in Nairobi! Now it's in London? Do u know when this changed and if we have to redo the medicals, the doctor has to send it all the way to London??

It is sent by courier.

Hi,

I had my meds done in Cape Town as well. It was done at the end of September 2011 and was sent to London via courier.
The doc office check with the Courier and the Canadian High Commission received it within 3 days.

That is weird,I did my medicals in August and the doctor sent them to Nairobi, then Nairobi processed it and sent it to my visa office in Pretoria.
Pretoria already advised that they received my medicals..
And I remember seeing in the CIC website that Nairobi was responsible for most of the medicals in Southern Africa, but can't find that link anywmore.

Pretoria Received my meds as well and it seems the new processing center for out-land applications is London, England.
They might do dual processing for a while as doctors might still send some to Nairobi.

I can't speak to Pretoria, Cape Town etc but there is most definately a place in Nairobi (only one office...and if memory serves it is in Kilimani) to get your medicals done.

What I think PMM was saying is that after you get the medicals done in Nairobi, they give you a receipt and then courier the results to Paris or London. In our case it was sent to London and then forwarded from London to Mississauga.

I know this thread is a bit old but hopefully that helps somebody :)
