hopehope- I was wondering the same thing (ours doesn't say in process yet either). I looked around on here and it seems like some people didn't even have it say that at all, it just went straight to Decision Made. I don't think they're very good about updating the status online in general.

I'm leaving Kenya tomorrow morning to go back home... Hopefully my hubby and I don't have to spend too many months apart

That's true, Nairobi is maybe bad in updating files!
You can't even know if they are working on it . Hopefully they will allow us to reunite with our hubbies soon!

Good news! We got a confirmation that Nairobi has our file and they have asked for passport and police certificate! As of July 27. Good to know they are really working on things! I hope this means we will get it soon

It has been 1 month since sending in by courier all requested docs. I had anticipated 3 months to hear back from them. I hope sooner

Question, people are saying there passports are requested, why and what do they do with them?

They asked for photocopy of all my pages as sponsor but I think they just want travel history along with photos and emails etc,

Happy for you Sccot2539, it shows that they about to confirm if the relationship is genuine and based on what you said they have believed good part of your story and want more to reach Decision Made if you have already paid all the fees and done the medical.

Well for your question, it depend on the Visa Officer who is dealing with your file. If he is fast than mine you will get your good news soon. When did you received that request document?

At least you`ve got confirmation that they have received your file/ for them to ask for your passport it`s even the best news at this point! For us, we havent heard anything from them since April 22 when they said the file was transfered to the Nairobi office and its now August and it worries me that they havent even got to my file yet :'(. At least when they ask for documents, it means they are working on the files already or may be they might be working on them but they sure dont even give you a clue whatsoever on this one. Anyway, let see what August brings, may be there might be good news. I just want this to be over soon. I hope so!
