Nairobi Applicants 2013???

My ecas just changed to "IN PROCESS" it said " in process since march 12 2013". They asked for my passport and new medical ( hopefully they waive that or extend it). Hopefully they finish quick for everything.

Congratulations Samstar hopeful they will extend the medicals.

My ecas has medical received line added yesterday now sending out my family passport tomorrow. Hoping it will not take too long now after 18 months of waiting.

Did anybody who got their ppr recently got their passport back stamped?

Hi everyone!

Well,I`m new to this forum! Me and my husband just sent our application on 11th March 2013 to Mississauga and it was received on 13th March 2013. I know for right now its too early to check the status of the application and whatsoever since on their website it says that they are processing the application received on 11 February 2013 so it`ll be a long waiting until i join my hubby but i hope its going to be this very year.What i can do is to wait and hope things will work out for the best. And for those who are still waiting, i wish you all the best!

Category: Spousal Sponsorship.
Application sent to Mississauga 12 September 2012
Application Received by CIC Mississauga September 14 2012
Application process started November 1 2012
Medicals Requested same day by CIC Mississauga November 2012
Sent Medicals on November 16 2012
Sponsorship Approved November 21 2012 and sent to Nairobi same day

Now my concern is this, since they sent my application to VO in Nairobi my application status was showing IN PROCESS until Thursday 28 March 2013 that I saw it changed to DECISION MADE but when I click on it there is no current info yet. Anyone with idea what could it be? thank you.

Okay...so, on 13th March,the application was received in the Mississauga and yesterday on 22nd April, we received an email that we are good with step one of the application process so the application has been forwarded to a VO in Nairobi so this is the update news from me so far. It took 41 days for this. There is a long way to go from there but me and my hubby will be patiently waiting for the results in the end. I`ll keep you all posted and Good luck to all!

Our application transferred to Nairobi on May7th from Mississauga office.

By looking at your time line, i think the Nairobi office is really faster than i expected, and then again, i dont want to expect the unexpected. It could take a while for the others, thus if they put you on the interview queue, that has to take forever!!! I guess we all have to be patient and hope everything goes on smoothly.

We`re almost on the same time line...........mine was on 22nd April!.My application was forwarded on the same day to the Nairobi office. And they did update that they received my medical results as well. I can see the time lines for the application sent on November/December last year,(almost all of them have received good news/their visa and landed in Canada. I pray everything goes well for us. We still have to wait but days do go and we`ll join our spouses in the end of this long journey.

you are right in everything you are saying. Patience is everything in this. Our timeline would have been about 1.5 months faster except the hiccup we had trying to get police clearance from a country that didn't want to give it (because she wasn't a citizen of that country. silly I know but what do you do?). you were also right about that when interviews are avoided the process is most often much faster than the 29 months they talk about on the website. the 29 months is worst case scenario. and you were also right about interviews potentially causing big delays.
