Also any ideas on which month applications are being worked on currently?

Welcome. It will take a while before you hear anything. It took about 4 months for me since file being transferred to Nairobi before hearing anything.

Medicals are good for 1 year. Most likely you will hear back well before then. If approved, your Principal Applicant will need to land in Canada before medicals expire in January 2015.

Anybody can throw some light regarding how long it takes from medical received to decision made?.

I completed my medical yesterday and the results should be gone hopefully by today via emedical to CIC Nairobi.

question about the gcms notes..

it says that a canadian citizen or permanent resident, or someone residing in canada can fill it out.. both of us are outside Canada, so we need to fill the consent form for someone in canada to get the information for us.. so on IMM 5744, the consent for an access to information and personal information request, the sponsor fills out section A and F, with the principal applicant filling out section B and E, right? or is it the other way around, because on the CIC website, it says only a citizen or PR or someone inside canada can get the information, and currently, our PR applicant is none of those.

this question also applies to when we fill out the information on the website to get this request, is the sponsor requesting on behalf of the principal applicant, or is the principal applicant requesting this information?

we are just unsure of whose information to fill in..

as i was getting myself ready to order for the gcms note,i got my passport request email today ,That was only 6 from application date! Cheesy

The email states that I have 60 days to submit it to them. But they did not provide a mailing address to send the passport. Can someone that recently sent their passport please provide me with the mailing address for the Nairobi office? do you just send the passport or we include a note or something ,let me know

As well, I need to attach a prepaid courier coupon. Should I be using any specific courier that is reliable?

Send your passport to the following address. Use DHL. I attached a cover letter, referencing the UCI # and I also attached a copy of the passport request letter. Make sure a pre-paid DHL return coupon is provided when you send the passport. DHL does this quite often so they know the process.

Am so happy for both of you that all is going to well. Passport request is the final stage and soon in less than a month or even within days you will receive your visa & COPR.

Thanks Rose13! We are just waiting to get the visa in our hands then we will buy the flight ticket, but for sure, we are starting to sell our stuff and prepare for going to Canada. the time has come, eh!

Though they say the created my application on 2014/03/04 and the next update they are say was on 2014/07/17. Then they say app status: Open, App status Reason: In progress.

Anybody who requested for the GCMS can help me understand. Thank you

Hello...

So i got a letter from nairobi VO dated 18 August 2014 on Friday 29 August 2014.

They requested the following info mentioned below within 60 days of this dated correspondence.

1) my complete medical or proof that my medical has been completed.

2) updated police certificate in my current country of residence.

3) My passport

4) Prepaid courier coupon.

Keeping fingers crossed for the police certificates as the police department here in Mauritius telling me that the wait shall be some 21 days.

Any idea regarding proof of medical that has been completed? I have got a payment receipt from my clinic plus an e-medical receipt with UMI number. Is that enough? I contacted my clinic yesterday where they mentioned that my med report has been uploaded last week.

Any senior member, please advise.
