If my husband is a NAFTA professional and receives a job offer while in the process of being sponsored by me, is it going to be a problem to get a visa?

Getting a work permit is separate from the sponsorship. He shouldn't have any problems. Just show up with his job offer at the border and get his work permit.

Oh, I had assumed he was US. If he needs a visa, he can not apply for a work permit at the border. Instead apply at the embassy where he is.

Really? Does the fact that he is Mexican make a difference? They need visas to enter the country usually.

you can consult the guide at the attached link. NAFTA information begins on page 141
