that is an automatic mail coz they have opened ur case.....it happens to me really often by this days and 2 weeks ago still background check so be nervous 
...almost done...decline or approved .....check every day ur profile even if its no mail

Just want to ask one question. What CIC mean by background, what they particular consider in background check? anyone knows?
same here saw an email today. No update though. I guess it is good at least they are working on it already

It is very common and normal here in the US and Im guessing its the same in Canada. Any job/lease agreement agency will run a background check on you.
