MyCIC in Background Processs but ECAS no changes

Hi Greyhat,

Let me clarify the timeline :
Sep 28th : email from CIC, saying there was an update on MyCiC.
On MyCIC : Background check was now "in progress" instead of "Not Started yet"
On eCAS : Status was now "Decision Made"
Oct 13th : Received an email (not a mycic message, I mean an regular email) from cpc-ctd-ottawa@cic.gc.ca, subject READY FOR VISA - PRET POUR VISA, stating that in order to issue my COPR, they needed a copy of my passport and 2 photos (that's what I've been calling my PPR, like everybody else I believe).
I logged in on MyCIC and eCAS at that moment, and nothing had changed (still hasn't today).
Oct 14th : As requested in the email, since I am not currently not in Canada or in the US, I wrote to cpc-ctd-ottawa@cic.gc.ca to ask them how to proceed.

From what I've read on this forum on other topics, I should expect another PPR, from the Paris office, with the French adress on it. I've also read that people abroad like me, who get this 2nd PPR, get through MyCIC, unlike the first PPR.

Could you please copy paste your ECAS, below i am sharing mine. I think I am on same track as yours just the time of submission is different.That is why i want to see your flow. Please kindly share me your ECAS status.

( I have already Paid the $980 on 9th Oct but status is still same , I think i will take some time to change)

In your ECAS ...there is a time gap between AOR and started processing...where my one is just next day...IDK..whether its normal or not :-[

Hello Guys,

So i went to VFS Global and showed them my invite to submit passport along with photographs but they said need a confirmation mail saying i have to submit at their office instead of Ottawa.

They said will get email reponse from CIC and they will advise to submit to my local VFS office only then they will accept and send it to accross to Canada High Commission and it will get stamped.

So i need to wait till Ottawa replies back or i get PPR from MyCIC requesting to submit at my local office.

Chances are, you probably don't need to do that. VFS Global is but a service company, they don't know things. Write to your VO's visas and immigration section that you got your passport request and notified CIC about the need to change the VO processing the case. Then kindly ask them what you should do next. They may tell you to send the first letter to them alongside your passport, photos anf eye color/height details via a CVAC. Only then should you go to VFS. In my case, I got my immigrant visa in three days this way.

Thank you i have forwarded the same mail to my VO which is Delhi and its been only 7 working days since i got PPR usually according to forums it comes within 2 weeks so i guess i just need to wait.

Ecas usually updates on a Tuesday and not specifically when there are changes to your application.

After emailing the address on your passport request you will receive a new ppr from local visa office and it should be within 20 business days.

My new ppr was sent as a request letter in mycic, not In my emails where the first frrom cdc Ottawa was.

Hello Guys,

I have recieved change of office for PPR, they have advised me to submit my passport along with 2 photographs and pay some charges for VFS Global and once its back will let me know.

Will be going tomorrow and submitting my passport.
