MYCIC Email Notifications

Hey all,

I've been looking around for an answer to this, but to no avail.

While waiting on my open work visa application, I've received 2 emails now telling me there have been status updates to my application. Logging on though shows no changes at all, and in fact the 'Last Updated by CIC' section still shows the same date as my application submission.

Has anyone else had this? I'm worried there could be things I need to respond to or look at, I haven't found any help on the Immigration site so not sure what to do.

In relation to this.. i think they are updating system every now and then. I think system update schedule is always there in the log in page. It could be the reason.

But then, just recently, I uploaded docs thru MyCIC but after a week i found out it never went to their database. I never knew til i sent an email to high commission.

I suggest u send them an inquiry and ask them what is it all about. You'll never know they might be asking some docs already.

My visa is already approved, but mycic account is not yet updated.

Hence being stumped.

Did your application finally update? Literally the only thing that has updated was the 'Last Updated by CIC' which was 4 minutes after my submission, and the message you get explaining they have received my application.

So..........twiddling my thumbs still!

Mine was approved last 27 Feb and up to date nothing has been updated.

I even read some threads that they have already landed in Canada and never got their CIC account updated

I also had the same experience two weeks back wherein I received an email that there has been an update in my cic account, however upon checking it is still the same. I sent an email to the canadian embassy in abu dhabi where my application is being processed and they replied to me saying that it was wrongly sent.

I've emailed all those I can with not much of a reply.

If you have done your part and at the middle of the application u got messed (knock on wood), you can always appeal by showing ur evidences, better make sure u secure all the conversations u had with the high commission. I suggest u make screenshots of whatever documents u have and have them ready just in case,worst comes to worst u get urself in trouble.

Hey. One of the reason why ypu cannot see them is if you are opening cic account on a smart phone or Ipad. Try a computer or laptop and you will be able to see the messages. If not, send a case specific enquiry.

I got an email from the cic stating:
"Your application has been updated. Please sign in to your MyCIC account and check your application status and messages for more information." (This is the 2nd email i got since i passed my application. 1st was a nessage telking me that they received the application.)

-but when i logged in... i cant find the update/ message. No new message.. :/ i already tried to logged in using s computer but its still the same... no update...

Anymore ways on what to do? :/

When you are logged in to MyCIC, click on the message and status just below ACTION. From then you can see if it is open or closed and if they are requesting to additional docus.

Same thing happened to me twice. First one was a day after I submitted my application, and the second one was the third day. The weird part is it was on a Friday night and Sunday morning. I don't think they work on weekends.

It is normal to receive multiple Do not reply emails at the beginning of the process. I am not sure why it happens, but it always does, and there is never an update. One of them is to inform you of the Submission Confirmation letter, but then the next ones don't have anything. You will also receive another update further along the process that won't have any update as well, as it will generate a Do Not reply email when a CIC officer pulls your file. This doesn't mean they will work on it right away, but just that it has been pulled.
