MyCIC account - Monthy updates

Hi,

I just saw in MyCIC account the option to receive monthly updates about my application.

has anyone received these updates? is this new?

when you login your MyCIC account, you will the option to select "I would like to receive monthly updates about my application".

Please update here is you have received those updates and if they are being send out regularly every month.

if there is an update on your application for example your background check goes from "not started" to "in process" you will receive an email.

I have only received an email from CIC when they were looking for additional information. I never received any for medical passed or background check started. I have yet to figure out why it does for some and not others.
