Do not worry yuvi, you have nothing to fear as a self employed, as long as you have some other docs that might proof you were in Canada for these last 4 years if CIC ask you for.

Just leave your application following its normal process and you will become a citizen within 1 year :)

So you will withdraw your application and reapply after getting a job and working in that job for 4 years ???

I don't understand the snark here. But "self-employment" has slightly different meanings for CIC and Revenue Canada. And for what it's worth, most of my employment for the past 4 years has been self-employment (by Revenue Canada's perspective), and I'm set to take my citizenship oath in two weeks. So that won't disqualify you from citizenship.

I think the snark is because anyone who actually had lived in Canada for 11 years, filed taxes, and worked successfully for themselves would know that they could absolutely apply for citizenship; and even if they thought it would be a problem, they would fight for their citizenship. Only someone who has unstated issues with their application would withdraw their application solely based on the recommendation of an online forum. As someone above put it, is the OP going to stop working for themselves, get a job for 4 years, and then apply for citizenship? It's an absurd question, that strongly implies something else is going on.
