My wife's tourist visa was rejected in the past. Will that impact spousal sponsorship?

Hello!

Hope everyone's doing well. I'm filling out my wife outland sponsorship application and I have a question. My wife applied for a tourist visa back in August of last year. Her visa was rejected and she never reapplied. Does she/I need to write a Letter of Explanation while applying for her spousal sponsorship re-explaining why she applied then or for any other reason? Also, will that impact her spousal sponsorship application? Apologies if the questions seem inane, but I want to make sure that I'm not missing anything.

Just follow the instruction guide.

She will have to answer yes to any question(s) regarding her refusal, but unless asked to elaborate the details, the answer should be all that is needed.
This will not impact her spousal sponsorship application.
