i would suggest you to let them carry on processing your case, you might get PPR in few months, if you dont get anything by i would say november than inform them. don't think abt sponsoring baby later as you can add ur kid with ur application when baby is born.

I will suggest you inform the CIC by email now and pray your wife for safe delivery.. Eventually they will ask update changes in your family on PPR..

After Medical you will get Passport request soon. You cannot submit Passport in following condition as provided by CIC.

Important notice for family members:

Do not submit your passports at this time if:

- you have married or divorced since our last correspondence;

- you have given birth or adopted a child since our last correspondence;

- you intend to get married or divorced prior to your landing in Canada;

or

- you intend to give birth or adopt a child prior to your landing in Canada

If any of these conditions apply, your new spouse and/or children must be added to your
application and be found admissible to Canada before permanent resident visas can be
issued. Failure to declare additional dependants such as a spouse or children prior to
your becoming a permanent resident could result in the cancellation of your permanent
resident visa. Once your file is closed, you would be required to submit a new
application and pay new processing fees. Any new application would be assessed
under the Act and Regulations in force at the time of its submission.

In the event that you do have additional dependants to add to or remove from your
application, you should immediately advise our office. You will be asked to submit
evidence such as a copy of the marriage, divorce, birth or adoption certificate or a letter
advising when and where the marriage, divorce, birth or adoption is expected to take
place.

You can probably wait it out and make it to Canada before your baby is born. A baby born in Canada by permanent resident parent/s gets citizenship and don't need sponsorship.

Hi,

WHen did you get your medicals done? Have you seen the report? Whereas i know they do urine tests and it confirms if your wife was pregnant at the time of medicals and if that is the case, they will call you for interview or would request something in this regard, but if it happened after the medicals, then i think there is nothing to worry if your visa is stamped in 2-3 months and your wife can travel via plane safe. after that doctors dont recommend doing air travel as it can be harmful for the baby. I hope this helps.

Thanks for all your postings. it is indeed very informative. I have the same worry now as I am the PA and just submitted our full docs last May 27,2010. Just last week I found out that I was pregnant. My worry now is that, VO might advise us to do medical anytime. I ask my agent, but they're not reliable. they cannot even give me an advice right away. I want to take chances but I'm scared as well. God bless us and might lead us to right direction.

Thank you all for your replies ..... i asked many doctors about the chest x-ray for pregnant in about 1 or 2 weeks .... & all the doctors i asked told me don't worry at all ... because there is almost no fetus. So , i would like to ask also about the if i granted the visa within 3 months & i landed in Canada ( Ontario ) ...... the health care ( OHIP ) will be covered after 3 months .... if i granted the visa i don't think that i will land before November 2010 ..... & the health care is very expensive there . is there any exeptions for pregnant woman to be covered from day 1 after landing ........ ?

thank you again for you all.

Inform CIC will be the best thing to do. After the baby is born, they will send you section A for the baby and make sure that you have enough money to take care of your family once in Canada. Nevertheless, I read somewhere where the family decided not to inform CIC and they got the visa last month. They landed with no problem and the baby is going to be born in Canada. Now I have no idea about how visible that pregnant was but the right thing to do is to inform CIC as soon as possible.

I don't think there is an exception to the 3 month waiting period for health care. You can try to shop for a private health care insurance to cover your family for the first 3 months. The important thing for you is to make sure that your baby is born in Canada otherwise there is going to be whole new process of sponsoring your child.

I think you must visit the doctor who has done your medical, he must be aware of the rules regarding pregnancy at this stage. Otherwise, if your wife can travel by air and if you land in Canada within 4-5 months it will be fine. I know one case where my sister in law flown to Austria while pregnant and she delivered the child the next month. So, don't worry. Rule is also not preventing your wife from landing in Canada.

Best of Luck.
