the OP has said works for IBM so assume manager in Canada also works for IBM and there is no separate business visa, just the visitor visa even where a business trip for example. I am sure that people come in for meetings and business visits all the time for multinational companies so maybe the issue really is the way the application was put together.Buletruck said:So are you coming to Canada as a visitor or are you working? You mentioned he is your manager in your company...if you mention that in your application, I would think they see that as you are coming here to work if you applied for a visitor visa. Did you actually have US and Schengen visa rejections before? Did you mention that in your application?
And I agree, at 4 refusals, you'll need to come up with some solid improvements before you apply again......but it's your money.
Too late now after 4 refusals but if had gone the letter of invitation route from the work colleague to attend business meetings that may have been a stronger case as opposed to just visiting. Maybe i missed whether this was the application route taken or not or just as visitor.
Business visits for multinational company employees you would think need less convincing after all in companies like IBM your manager could reside anywhere in the world and not in your home country which remains your employment base where you actually work. Chances are even the managers manager is not even based in Canada although thats not relevant.
