My visa chances

Hi,

I have completed class 12 from india and didnt study after that for 4 years although i did work for a private company's kitchen as a supervisor and also handled my home business of catering. I am now planning to join either Niagara college or conestoga college or Geroge brown for a 2 year diploma in hotel management studies.

*I have 7.0 in IELTS (with no band less than 6.5)
*No issues with funds(I've sufficient funds to spend and show)
*continuous work experience both part time (with home business) and full time at the canteen.
*Will go for Niagara which I guess is a reputed college.(?)


But my main worry is ....will i be allowed the visa as i have had 4 years gap ??

bro i am new to this form but i have answer for ur question...gap is no issue as u have work exp but still it depends on ur sop how u write it ...and how u show ur intension to embassy that u r going for study only.......i guess i am ryt

Nobody even looks at SOP !! they dont look at any additional documents as they look at all the facts and info filled in required forms and decide the case !! they dont read extra info which may hinder the decision makin !!! if u have work ex why u considerin this as gap ?? i'm workin from past 5 years nd now applyin for student visa !!! u jus need to show proper work ex which is in the same area of ur studies !!! thats all !!! all this additional docs are bullshit !!! if it was imp why they not askin everybody to write SOP ????

bro ... ur profile is good jst concentrate in getting execellent work expereince as u may get .... dun go for sop ... ask ur consultants if any to prepare a good cover letter for u ... good education loan ... u have nice ielts band ,,, college choice is ur ,, if u can go for sum university ,,, high chances of getting visa ... thats alll

plz dont miss guide ppl we cant judge that vo look at sop or not.....but in sop we write bout our intension and many more thing which make clear to vo that student id genuine....there is no harm in writing sop if needed wheter vo read it or not........

Guri !! read the doc checklist carefully and also read lines written at the end in RED !! DO NOT SUBMIT ANY ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS !! Why ppl don't understand what it means ???? where have they mentioned SOP ??? if you see Uni admission documents they clearly ask u for SOP coz they are givin u admission in their School but VO has no business looking at ur SOP or They wud have clearly asked for it !!! Under SPP category DO NOT PROVIDE ADDITIONAL DOCS or whats the diff between Gen Category and SPP then ????!!!!!!

its not an additional doc its only a sop which means statmnt of purpose...sop is needed for those who got refusal and for those who have gaps.......
Main reason for the rejection of student is he/she not stasify vo that he/she will return to homecountry.....then tell me how to satisify vo and how to tell them bout our intensions...it can only b done thru sop and its not manadatory i knew it........and there is no diffrnce b/w general and spp expect colgs comes under spp and in gen u have to show ur parents or ur ITRS

Do you even believes v.o. will satisfy with your intention to comeback india on the basis of sop?( piece of paper)

ITR is not in a checklist of spp/general (university checklist). however if you r employed it is recommanded under generic category.

am a bit confused guys...my consultant told me I would need an SOP...when I enquired more about it they said...in canada's case you dont need to go for an interview with the consulate but need a statement of purpose..that will be enough and you get the visa. I didnt question him further as my neighbour followed the sam eprocedure and he also needed an SOp and he went to Georgian with the same consultant. SO am not sure...but seems I shouldnt be worried about it (SOP) as , although additional docmnts are not asked for , giving an extra dcmnt in form of SOP isnt going to harm my case.

SOP is an optional document which is a plus point in some cases..........

Guri : VO is not going to believe whatever u write in SOP !! now ur question how wud they know that u'll come back so what they look for or how they decide !! u have a form called family info thats where u have to mention all the details and they get to know what ur background is and how settled are u here !!! if they think uve not provided correct info they can ask u for docs to support whatever uve written !! I agree with u that there is no harm but all im sayin is its not gonna do any gud too !! U may write anythin in SOP there is no way they can verify that or get know if u talkin truth !!! more u explain ur case more bad it is for u !! best thing is to keep it to the point !!!!

all docs we submit are piece of paper...
i am not saying its manadotry to write sop but if u write it wont harm.....even if ur sop is not so strong vo is not going to refuse ur visa on sop basis......
I am saying it can work as plus point nothing else...
