My Transut Visa Through Toronto Airport

Dear Sir

Thanks for your kind support,
I have applied for the Canadian Transit visa for me and my family since 21st June 2016 through eTA website, currently we are in USA, Tennessee State, holding Egyptian passport, living in Kuwait, holding the USA visit Visa, as mentioned in the website normally the approval of the transit visa comes with minutes, till now i have not receive the approval, I’m worried about my travel plan, since I have already booked the return flight to Kuwait through the Toronto airport.

Please advise me whether this the normal procedures or i have to submit additional documents.
Note: My case through the eTA website still “Open”

Where did you read this? Can you provide links?

Usually transit visas take a couple of weeks.

1. As Egyptian citizens, you are not visitor visa exempt and are not eligible for an ETA unless you are US green card holders. If not a GC holder you need a transit visa: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp
2. Note you will require Biometrics as well. You will probably have to change your travel plans.

As PMM explained, you need to apply for a visitor visa: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp If you research processing times for visitor visa applications logged through the US, you'll see it says 13 days (not a few minutes). Note that this is an approximate processing time. It's quite possible it could take longer.

There is no Canadian Visa Authority for you to approach in person. You have to apply either online or by mail. These are your only two options.

As others have stated, Egyptian passport holders who do not have a US permanent residency (Green Card) cannot get an eTA (which is what you have wrongly applied for). You must follow this link and fill out the forms for a Visitor Visa (and choose the transit visa option when filling the form).

It may take several weeks to receive your approved visa.

But for a transit visa requested in June 21st... for July 14th flight... IMO it is tight but if there is luck, it might be possible...

But as you have been told repeatedly - you do not qualify for an ETA. You must apply for a TRV (visitor visa). TRVs and ETAs are two completely different things. TRVs take anywhere from days to months to be approved.
