My tourist visa extension was approved! How long does it usually takes to get the physical document

My application to extend my stay in Canada as a visitor was approved. I got an email 8 days ago !
The thing is that I want to visit Cuba in a few days and I really need the physical document.
Do you know in how many days will I have the document in my mail box?

Others can correct but the whole point of extending a stay is exactly that to extend your stay/maintain status in Canada, not to leave and come back. You will be assessed afresh by CBSA on returning to Canada as your extension would no longer be valid so you need a valid TRV or be visa exempt with an ETA to travel to and enter Canada again.

I just wrote that I need more time to explore Canada and his culture. If you apply to extend your stay as a visitor for the first time and you have the prooves there is no reason to worry!
You can text me if you need any help. The only thing in general that you should know is that cic is a bit slow in processing times!

I have to disagree. It is really weird this whole situation if you are a real traveller. In my example, I applied for a tourist extension in cic because I have friends and family in Toronto and I can use their houses as my base to explore North and South America without having the cost of accommodation all the time.
It is quite funny but I believe that if this visa called tourist that should be mean that I wouldn't have to wait three months to get the approval and have the opportunity to travel to Detroit, Cuba or whenever...

As per my query: Yes we can say we need more time to explore Canada, but what are the "other" things/proof required to support it ? OR i can just state the same and get extension... is it so simple ?

An LMIA from an employer would not guarantee an extension of your visitor status. In many ways it would lead to a refusal because you are proving that you want to remain in Canada and work and not visit. You could return home and wait and see if your work permit is approved.

LMIA is already approved but I haven’t got extension to go at flagpole for the work permit.I am waiting for the extension of my visitor visa.How long does it take to get the result.
