ITA-22 Dec 2016 with score of 489
Sent application- 19 Jan 2017
PPR-24 Feb 2017
Sending passport to Ottawa in a day or two
Landing- by mid March 2017

Couple of things that I learned from this forum that helped IMMENSELY with my application. Complete upfront medical. Have proof of funds as per the thread in the forum regarding proof of funds. Make sure to get police certificates in advance.

I am still waiting for my OINP nomination from Feb 2016 but my federal process is already complete so big thanks to the change in EE regulations in November where they gave more scores for Canadian education and experience.

I could not have completed the application without the guidance and support of this forum. So, BIG BIG thank you to everyone here for your whats app messages, emails, phone calls, for taking the time to provide answers to my questions through the process. I sincerely wish everyone gets their PPR ASAP and I wish everyone the best.

Happy to answer any more questions about my process if that would be of help to someone else on their application.

Cheers

Raj

Hey Raj, A BIG Congratulations on your PPR.
I'm (CEC Inland EE Eligible, Canadian Masters) expecting ITA from the next draw. I've already starting collecting my docs. I've applied police Clarence reports. I'm wondering
1. what does upfront medical means?. Medical can only be done after ITA...right?.
2. do I need POF?.
3. Please let me know any other document i can arrange in advance to save some time?

Thank you

Haarry, CEC don't need POF. And I dont have my ITA yet, but I am expecting in the next draw, so I have already scheduled an appointment for a date after I expect to have the ITA. Some clinics have more than 20 days waiting.

Congratulations on your achievement! Would you mind sharing the detailed timeline including the dates of med passed, background checks etc? Thanks!

Congrats Raj!

Hi everyone,

here is my updated timeline:

ITA-22 Dec 2016 with score of 489
Sent application- 19 Jan 2017
PPR-24 Feb 2017
Passport sent- 28 Feb 2017
Reached Ottawa- 1 Mar 2017
PP recd back- 8 Mar 2017
Landed- 11 March 2017

Landing process was very smooth at Lewiston/Queenston bridge. I went shopping to US side and bought a few things and came back and the lady was very nice and explained the whole process to me. She mentioned that I can travel by land using COPR but cant travel by air until I get my PR card which will be 4-6 weeks.

Thanks to everyone,

Raj

Sorry, in response to the previous questions about BC. my profile switched from in process, no additional documents required to background check in process. then it stayed like that until i got my passport back. i think the CIC system updates a little slower due to technical glitches. Not sure about this but regardless, it didnt update real time.

In terms of my medicals, i did it upfront so I didnt have to wait for a medical check request during application processing. I heard from this forum that it is one way to expedite your processing and I highly recommend it for others as well to do medical upfront if that is feasible for your situation.

Hope this helps. happy to answer any additional questions,

Thanks,

Raj

I am also a CEC inland applicant and got AOR on March 3, 2017. Hope, the process wont take long time. All the best for everyone...

FSW stream moving super fast... heard one person got PPR in 17 days. I wonder if they will pick up with CEC again at the end of August?
