hi,
I soft landed in late 2018 as PR and returned to home country after 10 days stay. Opened bank account, credit card and SIN.
In Oct. 2019 I bought a cottage remotely to prepare for my landing in early 2020, then COVID outbreaks and I was delayed until last week September to come to Canada.
During the entire time, I have tires like:
1. moving several thousand dollars to my account
2. using credit card to pay for amazon cloud service as I ran a website
3. stating mortgage as buying the house and paying monthly
4. using bank account to pay for utilities/property taxed monthly
other things to consider:
1. no income in Canada
2. no cellphone plans/car/health card/driver's license
3. no relatives
4. house empty all time not renting
As for my situation, at what time to consider as a tax resident in Canada?
Thanks
