I just reveived the letters from IRCC that my study permit application was rejected. I am feeling really bummed about this.
This is the second time in a consecutive year. I applied for Australia student visaa last year and got rejected for visa. Maybe this is one of the big reasons why I got rejected cos I disclosed about it in my SP application.
I have B. Tech in Civil Eng. I applied for 2-year Diploma course at Algonquin College in Architecture and gave all the reasons why and I am switching from Civil to Architecture. That could also be another big reason.
I also presented the documents about the land I bought back in my country but did not explian about it in SOP.
I am pretty bummed about this because other fellow citizens from my cocuntry are getting into schools and visa without even submitting English Language. They say they used working experiences. I am not sure about their courses though.
The letter says:
Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. I have reviewed your study permit application and supporting documentation to assess whether you meet the requirements for a study permit (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/eligibility.html). This includes assessing whether you are coming to Canada temporarily for the reason(s) you describe in your application. I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/I-2.5/index.html) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/index.html). I am refusing your application.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph R216(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/section-216.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.
To get help with understanding your temporary resident application refusal and what you can do next, visit: https://www.cic.gc.ca/visit-visiter/en/refusal-visa-application.
Next Steps:
• If you decide to apply again, know that:
○ your new application will be assessed on its own merits,
○ you must resubmit a new application and all relevant supporting documents and pay a new temporary resident application fee, and
○ your new application may be refused unless it is supported by new or different information that would satisfy the officer that you meet all application requirements.
I don't think I have much of a chance to apply for it again.
But I would really appreciate if any of the members here have similar experiences and could secure visa again, and share some information on how to
try again.
Thank you!
