My study permit expires on 30 september 2013 and my visa expires on 10/07/2013.

Which date should I consider for extending my stay in Canada, the date 10/07/2013 is dd mm yyyy or it is mm dd yyyy?

if my visa expires before my study permit, I should consider that, or I can stay in Canada till my study permit expires?

In my opinion you should have a valid TRV for staying in canada..................

I suspect if the visa was issued in India, then date should read as date-month-year

yes, my dear friend than you for replying, but I want to know when should I apply for extending my study permit, and is it necessary to extend my visa before extending my study permit?

@Kalpesh..

I don't know the order dd-mm-yy or its the other way round, but i am certain that you do not need a TRV. The document that makes your stay legal in Canada is your study permit. You are legal as well as continue to study as long as your study permit is valid. However if you plan to leave Canada and you TRV expires before you come back, you will need a new TRV. Without a valid TRV they will not let you enter Canada again even if you show them that your study permit is valid..

Hi,

1. Agreed. Must leave Canada on the expiry of study permit. TRV is required only to enter/re-enter Canada.
