Hi, I apply for Student Visa on 15 November 2010 in Ankara Embassy. The same day they send my Documents beck to me with a rejection letter written as :
(i) You have not satisfied me that you have adequate funds available to you to pay for your tuition and living expenses while in Canada and to return to your country of residence. ( i have more then 30,000/-$ CDN in my Father account)

(ii) You have not satisfied me that you will leave Canada by the end of the period authorized for your stay. In reaching this Decision, I considered your ties to your country of residence/citizenship balanced against factors which might motivate you to stay in Canada. (i wrote in my application that i'll come back to my county because in my country we have to much jobs related to this course)

now what i do? Is it safe that i re-apply for my student visa???

Dear Sir

First you need to good Statement of Purpose(SOP) that why you want to study in Canada and that course. Also you need to include your history with what you done in Cyprus.

In addition you need clarify their doubts as per your first refusal by writing a effective calcification statement. and you need to prove that there are plenty of opportunity in your home country after completing of the course you intend to do in Canada.

Hi,
I applied this march 27th and got rejected for the same reason,my funds and everything was ok but the problem was, because of some carelessness i forgot to give them my most important bank statement. Plus my properties papers. Now I am planning to submit all of them. But the question is, has the chance become very low of me being accepted only because I got rejected once? I have all the documents and papers ready. And I also can show sufficient fund..pls reply

Clear your position on a separate paper why you missed that document in the first place and all other important things. You need to clear up your stance in a crystal clear way. Organize your docs.

HI umair

did u deposit your funds soon before applying for visa without maintaining them ( you must keep the funds in the bank for 3-4 months) ?

also did you deposit money via bank to bank transfer?

your funds are okay , I'm pretty sure the money was deposited before just before applying

regarding your ties reason you should show them that your parents are settled back in your home country and you have a house to

return to etc and your family lives there and they expect you to be back along with future job prospects in your country of citizenship

hope this helps

Hi nowshin

a fixed deposit receipt account (FDR) right?

well it's not a liquid account like current account so you must either take a loan on the FDR account or show the 50 lakhs as

liquid the liquid funds shown must be equal to or greater than 1 year tuition + 10000$+ 3000.

I don't think that the money would have been readily available due to the fact it was an FDR account,

if u show more cash in liquid that would definitely be a positive.

You can add the documents that you had forgotten to show previously , they will definitely consider it

Good luck

In the seminar, CHC Visa officer said FD receipt is a valid record of funding.

Some people asked if they need to submit all the FD receipt, or get a certificate from Bank stating that they had this much of FD under their name. The Visa officer answer was "if you have several FD (say 8 or 10), we would like to have a certificate from bank. Otherwise, the FD receipt of each FD will be good.

I'm very certain of this as this was asked by few people in the seminar.

@ stud if it was said in the seminar then it has to be true and valid.

I just wanted to know stud , what did the VO's say in the seminar about students that showed only liquid

funds and no loan at all ?

You wrote in your seminar topic that they prefer a loan , but what about liquids in hand ? what was their

take on liquids only?

thanks
