I've found something about removing the two years waiting time so we could be PRs instantly, but that might be talking about the time it takes for them to look into our processes. I didnt find anything specifically about condition 51 so far.

That's it - it doesn't specifically mention Condition 51. It's badly explained- but that is what they are referring to.

There's really not that much to go on. Again, if / when this change will be made is anyone's guess.

You will likely have been a PR for over 2 years by the time Condition 51 is no longer implemented.

No rules that come later will really apply to you since you are already a PR. It will be for people submitting new applications.

As long as you and your ex are on good terms and you're sure he has no intention to ever report the breakup, then most likely you will be fine.

The only risk here is if CIC does a random compliance check of you and your sponsor before the 2 years is up even through nobody reported anything. It's very rare this will happen, but I believe there have been a few cases. Though I have to think with the Liberals wanting to move away from conditional PR rules, they will not be putting much resources into this.

The only times I hard this happen was when the application already had a few red relationship flags but ultimately accepted.
