My son received an LOI instead of a PPR letter, pls help

Hi everyone, i applied for open study permit for my son alongside my work permit application, all has been approved but I got a letter of passport request submission but my son didn't . He got an LOI instead . Pls what do you suggest I do, he's passport has not been stamped yet. And I can't submit his passport without the passport request letter.

I hold valid visitor visa for canada
Applied for Student visa from India and got the LOI,
Didn't receive PPR
does anyone know the further process?
Will i be getting stamp for student visa at port of entry??

You get approved for a study permit from your home country and then receive the study permit when you land at the airport in Canada or land border.
